Discovering Grounding: A Key to Healing
Grounding, or "earthing," has been transformative in my healing journey from TBI and Aphantasia. Inspired by Clint Ober’s research, I began sleeping on a grounding mat to connect with the Earth’s natural energy. Since then, I’ve felt more refreshed, experienced reduced pain, and gained renewed energy. Grounding has supported my mental clarity, emotional resilience, and overall sense of calm.
Grounding works by absorbing electrons from the Earth, acting as natural antioxidants to reduce inflammation and stress. It has become more than a routine—it’s a source of balance and connection, benefiting both my body and mind.

What is grounding?
Grounding, or "earthing," is the practice of connecting to the Earth's natural electrical energy, which can be done by walking barefoot, sitting on the ground, or using conductive products like grounding mats or sheets.
What are the benefits of grounding?
Grounding has been shown to reduce inflammation, improve sleep, alleviate pain, enhance mood, and support cognitive function by promoting calm, mental clarity, and overall well-being.
How does grounding work?
The Earth’s surface has a negative charge. When we connect directly to the ground, our bodies absorb these electrons, helping to neutralize free radicals, reduce inflammation, and align our biological rhythms with the Earth’s, improving sleep and mood
